Group Seeks Help To Locate Family Of 8-Year-Old Child Trafficked To Cross River (Photos)

An 8-Year-Old Boy Identified As Believe-In-God Mandu Chinedu, who was trafficked to Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State from Imo State, wants to reunite with his parents.

The Child was rescued in May 2022, and currently taking shelter with a non-profit organization, Basic Rights Counsel Initiative, BRCI, in Calabar.

According to the boy, his mother’s name is Miriam.

Anyone with useful information on how to locate his family should please contact the NGO or call the Cross River State Commissioner of Police or BRCI.

“Please anyone with useful information about the family or relative of an 8 year old child who gave his name as- Believe- in-God Mandu Chinedu, should please contact the Commissioner of Police, Cross River State or Contact Basic Rights Counsel Initiative on 0809 012 3666 or 09060426199.

“The Child was trafficked by a gang of traffickers in May 2022 to Akamkpa in Cross River State. Please kindly share this link with your contacts in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State and Onitsha in Anambra State. The child who is currently in our our custody gave his mother’s name as Miriam.”
