Chelsea defender, Marcos Alonso has finally agreed to personal terms with Atletico Madrid to join the La Liga giants in this summer’s transfer window.
Marca reports that the left-back is keen on joining Diego Simeone’s side and he is now hopeful Atletico Madrid can agree on a fee with Chelsea.
The report claimed that Simeone’s men want Alonso to become Filipe Luis’ successor at the club.
Alonso dropped down the pecking order in Manager Maurizio Sarri’s squad in recent months.
The 28-year-old was an unused substitute in their Europa League final win over Arsenal on Wednesday night in Baku.
Alonso’s current deal at Chelsea will expire in 2023. The Spaniard joined Chelsea from Fiorentina in 2016.
