Popular Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has sent out a powerful message of hope and faith to single women navigating life beyond their 30s.
In an emotional video posted on her Instagram page on Saturday, the 31-year-old entertainer drew strength from scripture, quoting Isaiah 54:5 to encourage women who may be struggling with societal pressure to settle down.
“For your real husband is your Maker—the Lord of all the earth,” she said, citing the verse that has been a personal source of comfort to her.
Cuppy, who has often been open about her journey in love and self-discovery, described her current phase as a “season of solidarity,” emphasising that her worth and victories in life are not tied to having a romantic partner.
“I realised I’m not alone in this,” she shared. “A lot of us are in our 30s and still waiting. But this verse reminds me that my true identity and value are anchored in God. He created the man I dream about, and He is more than capable of bringing the right person at the right time.”
Urging women not to despair, DJ Cuppy assured them that divine timing is key and that no blessing meant for them will be missed.
“Don’t put anyone where only God belongs,” she advised. “He fills every gap. While you’re waiting, trust that what’s yours will come.”
Her message resonated widely across social media, with many fans praising her vulnerability and spiritual depth in a society that often places intense pressure on women to marry by a certain age.
