Nothing works except spoken English – Man says as he shares photos of residents fetching water from ‘under rocks’ in Nasarawa community

A Facebook user, Andrew Dave Babre, from Nasarawa State, has decried the lack of access to clean water in a community in his state.

Sharing photos of some residents fetching water from what seems like under rocks, he said that ‘’nothing works in Nasarawa State except spoken English.”

He wrote;

“Source of water for a community in Nasarawa State. Karu LGA to be precise. When I tell you nothing works in Nasarawa except spoken English, you better believe it,” he wrote.

“Even the people making noise about their intention to be governor of Nasarawa State have nothing of importance to say apart from the usual English Nasarawa State is known for.

“They haven’t shown any concrete reason for their intention to be governors so far except empty speeches. The type of empty speeches that kept Nasarawa empty since 1996.

“Nasarawa is a state where if you are able to get a job for your town people in the past, you are seen as worthy of becoming governor even when you don’t have a single plan on how to transform the state.

“They know that as long as they can speak fine English, Nasarawa people will care less if their wives and daughters trek long distances from as early as 4am in search for water.”
