An eighty-one-year-old man, Adeleke Oke alongside two other persons have been arrested by men of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly d#filing a 12-year-old girl in Offa, Offa local government area of Kwara State.

Aside from Oke, the two other suspects include 37-year-old Sikiru Lawal and Moshood Ayinde, 37.

The suspects were arrested on Sunday, September 1, 2024, following a report lodged by the victim’s father at the NSCDC office in Offa. Confirming their arrest to newsmen, the spokesman of the NSCDC in the state, Ayoola Michael, said the case has been transferred to the Gender Unit of the Command for further investigation.

‘’Preliminary investigation revealed that the three suspects had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor on different occasions and threatened her not to open up to anyone about the illicit acts. Furthermore, a detailed medical examination confirmed that the victim’s hymen was ruptured and provided clear evidence of repeated s#xual penetration. The suspects confessed to the crime and will be charged to court for onward prosecution.”
