Yobe Governor vows justice for woman allegedly killed by her husband as she is laid to rest

The 42-year-old woman, Ammi Adamu Mamman, who was allegedly killed by her husband, Abubakar Musa, 43, in Yobe State has been laid to rest.  

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, said the incident happened at New Bra-Bra Estate around 4:48 am on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
According to Abdulkarim, the deceased was sharing the same bed with her husband when she was assaulted with a sharp object on her neck, causing severe bleeding that resulted in her death.
Ammi was laid to rest alongside another woman on Tuesday, January 9, at the Emir of Pataskum’s palace in Potiskum.
Meanwhile, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has vowed that anyone involved in Ammi’s death would face the wrath of the law.
The Governor in a statement issued by his DG, Press, and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, described the death of Ammi as a very sad loss to her family, community and the state.
“Governor Buni has again condoled the family of Ammi Adamu Mamman, who died in mysterious circumstances and was buried today,” the statement read.
“May Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant Aljannatu firdaus, and to her loved ones, the fortitude to bear the loss
“The Governor emphasized his call on security agencies to unravel every detail surrounding the circumstances of her death
“He assured that anyone involved in her death would face the full wrath of the law, saying no one involved would be spared from facing the dictates of the law.’
