Catholic Priest Escapes From Kidnappers In Aba

A Catholic priest newly posted to a church parish in Osisioma area early Wednesday, escaped from gunmen who kidnapped him.

The priest was allegedly trailed and kidnapped by the gunmen near his parish while coming to perform early morning mass.

A parish source disclosed that two male mass servants that were with the priest were pushed away from the car by the gunmen before driving him away towards an unknown destination.

Our reporter gathered that the Reverend father had attempted to force himself out of the car when he noticed that they were on the expressway, but was resisted by the gang members.

The struggle attracted the attention of other road users which reportedly forced the gunmen to allow him to jump out of the car while they drove off with the victim’s car.
